Understanding Comparing Numbers
Comparing numbers helps us understand which is bigger or smaller, or if
they're the same!
We use special symbols to compare numbers: > (greater than), < (less than), and=(equal to). Imagine the
symbols are hungry alligators - they always want to eat the bigger number!

Parent Tips 🌟
- Make it visual: Use toys, snacks, or drawings to compare quantities. "Do you have more grapes or blueberries?"
- Play comparison games: "I'm thinking of a number between 1-10 that's greater than 5 but less than 8. What could it be?"
- Use everyday situations: Compare ages in the family, number of stairs climbed, or plates at the dinner table.
